Details:   In the spring of 1980, a small group of local people with varied skills and diversified occupations decided to form a community theatre. Some of the people were interested in making money to restore a historic building, an old depot; some were interested in developing their construction and technical skills; others were interested in acting and directing. The group selected Harvey as their first play, gave the group a name, The Wetumpka Depot Players, and as it is said, "The rest is history!"
